Westbury Park is a large park with many great attractions located next to Parker Elementary. This park is the most recently remodeled park in Westbury with new playground equipment and pavilion being added in 2013. Westbury Park is well used and loved by local neighborhood families as well as children from Parker Elementary after school.
The Westbury Park playground has 2 separate playsets, one for little kids and one for older children. Both playgrounds are covered with shade sails. There is also one set of swings located at the playground. There is great covered pavilion that can be used by park goers or rented through the City of Houston. There is a water fountain at the playground. Westbury Park is a popular destination for sports. There are two full size lighted tennis courts, one with a backboard. There is a baseball field with bleachers and dugouts. There is a water fountain near the baseball field along Mullins. Most evenings there are groups playing soccer or volleyball in other sections of the park. There are two half-court basketball hoops located near the playgrounds. The Westbury Civic Club maintains a butterfly garden at the park and hosts an annual Keep Westbury Beautiful day at Westbury Park the first Saturday every April. The City of Houston has a swimming pool located at Westbury Park that was renovated in 2009 but has been closed since 2022 due to needed repairs. |
